STUDIO FIBER ARTISTS formerly known as South East Art Quilters, was founded in 1989 and actively produces exhibits in Florida and throughout the country.
SFA / SEA Q has been represented in every Quilt National Exhibition by at least one member since 1991 and four members in 1999 and 2001. We are justifiably proud of our member's acceptances and awards in the most prestigious worldwide art quilt competitions.
The wide diversity of our artists' work is manifest by their continuing evolution and expansion of the fiber medium. SFA's philosophy of maintaining a commitment to the exploration of personal artistic journeys constantly enriches the vocabulary of textiles. We advocate the use of all techniques (from traditional to extraordinary) in executing our individual designs. The common thread connecting our work is TECHNIQUE...used inventively, intuitively and ingeniously to present art that transports the viewers to fascinating new places.
